Following Tom's eleventh hour miracle liver transplant in 2004 he began a lifelong journey to help create organ donation awareness. He and his brother along with volunteer friends formed a non profit called Sport Fest Windsor. It's mandate was to create awareness through cultural, entertainment and sporting events.
Since 2005 they have raised in excess of $500,000 and every dime was put back into the community through team sponsorships, outdoor sign programs, promotional items, educational bursaries, literature, newspaper/magazine articles and much more.
Tom has since begun his second battle with Parkinson's Decease, so event activities have seized and the promotional aspect of organ donation awareness has been taken over by the Windsor Fastpitch Softball Hall of Fame of which he is an inductee.
This decision was made to preserve Tom's legacy as a lifelong volunteer for many community causes.

We are pleased to welcome our Social Media Manager, Ms. Bowaine Ma. She is a Master's student at the University of Windsor completing a degree in Leadership Studies and has completed an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology specializing in Sport Management.
She taught sports programs for municipalities of Burnaby, London and Windsor. Among her other accomplishments, she served as a provincial-level springboard diving coach for two diving clubs and Director at large for a lacrosse club to strengthen their community relations and introduce data-driven marketing.
During the pandemic, she stayed active by personal training online. Post pandemic she returned to the local rock gym training for a powerlifting meet in 2022.
She believes that sporting activities create opportunities to bring people together in a healthy way while educating and engaging the community to support one another.
