We are pleased to announce that the  non-profit community-based sports heritage organization Windsor Fastpitch Softball Hall of Fame, under the guidance of Tom's brother Roger, has selected Sport Fest Windsor as their "Charity of Choice" and has taken on the responsibility of promoting organ & tissue donation awareness and to preserve it's legacy in our community for years to come

Sport Fest Windsor is the brainchild of Tom Awad who miraculously survived an eleventh hour miracle liver transplant.

After recovering from a near death experience, Tom was spiritually awakened and was inspired to commit his experience to paper. Within twenty minutes, without a word being edited, Tom wrote an emotionally crafted poem in honour of his donor.

“At The Edge – A Tribute to my Donor” , is a beautifully written poem that so began Tom’s journey to give something back to those who gave Tom his second chance at life.

Along with his brother Roger, and a few friends, Sport Fest Windsor was born. Together, this group of volunteers created a mandate to promote organ donation awareness through sporting, cultural and entertainment events in hopes of inspiring others to give the gift of life.

We formed a partnership with the Windsor Fastpitch Softball Hall of Fame as their "Charity of Choice"  to carry on Sport Fest Windsor and Tom's legacy of organ donation awareness.

Together we can turn

“Tragedies Into Miracles” by registering our consent online www.beadonor.ca  and then discussing our wishes with our loved ones.
