Sour Name, Sweet Game!
Pickleball is a great way for all age groups to get exercise. Not only is Pickleball a great workout, this game also offers social benefits. It’s a lot of fun but it doesn’t cost a lot of money to play. Come out and see what all the excitement is about.
Pickleball is alive and doing very well at the Riverside Baseball Club. We now have approximately 100 members who are playing better all the time.
Scheduled game days are as follows:
- Recreation players play Monday afternoons from 1 pm to 3 pm
- All members play Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings from 10 am to noon
- Cost: $20 yearly membership fee payable to W.E.C.S.S.O. and $3 drop in fee for each game played
- All equipment is supplied
at the Riverside Baseball Club, 6865 Ontario Street in East Windsor behind St. Rose Church:
We are 55 & over but the following accept all ages:
- Oakwood Community Center, 2520 Cabana Road West (519) 966-6065 (cost is $4.00 for a drop in fee only – no membership fee required)
- Constable John Atkinson Memorial Centre, 4270 Alice Street (519) 945-2452
- Former Puce Elementary School at 962 Old Tecumseh Road in Emeryville
If you are not familiar with the game of Pickleball, you are most welcome to come out and try the game. Paddles and balls are provided for your use. Wednesday at Riverside Baseball Club from 10 am to noon is a good day to come out and try the game. Please wear running shoes & loose clothing.
