Promote Organ and Tissue Donation Awareness
Our mission is to promote organ and tissue donation awareness and interest in health and physical activity through sporting, cultural and entertainment events within Windsor-Essex County. We also feel it is vitally important to pay tribute to local organ donors and their families. We also provide resources and peer support for those affected by organ and tissue donation in our area.
Raise Funds Through Sporting, Cultural and Entertainment Events
Sport Fest Windsor raises funds mainly through various sporting events which promote healthy living. Each year we host events such as the ‘Gift of Life Walk From Windsor To London’, the ‘Run Under the Sun 5k/10k Walk/Run ‘, the ‘High School Girls Slo-Pitch Tournament’, the ‘International Slo-Pitch Tournament’, the ‘Soup’er Bowl Volleyball Tournament’, a summer Slo-Pitch league with Men’s and Coed divisions, two golf tournaments and the ‘Teeth Whitening Program’ with local dentists.
Community, Partners, Sponsors and Volunteers
Our organization works with many of the local families affected by organ and tissue donation. And, over the years, we have created partnerships with many community organizations, groups and the media which serve Windsor and Essex County. In order to reach our mandate, Sport Fest Windsor requires the involvement of a large number of individuals from within our community. We currently have over 100 volunteers, 75 sponsors, many community partners and close alliances with 8 community groups.
Continuously Expanding the View of Our Message
Throughout all of the events Sport Fest Windsor hosts and/or supports, we estimate that annually over 75,000 people directly see our message. We believe that annually over 200,000 individuals view our message through our various awareness programs, news stories, monthly newsletter and web site. We are continuously working on ways to expand our view. Hopefully you can help by spreading the word.
